The 7th issue of Odense International was conducted in the fairy tale city of Hans Christian Andersen on 27 August – 3 September 2017 in Odense Bowling Centre, where 119 athletes were competing for the tour stop title.

The format of the final in Odense offered a first step over 6 games with 32 athletes taking part, of which the 10 highest ranked was awarded starting pins from 140 pins to the highest ranked down to 10 pins for the 10th ranked.

Step 2 of the final included top 16 from step 1, who added another 4 games to a total of 10 games + starting pins, deciding the top 8 field for the next four final steps.

The last 4 steps of the format offered one game matches as follows:
Step 3: 4 matches. 4 winners and 2 happy losers to continue
Step 4: 3 matches. 3 winners and 1 happy loser to continue
Step 5: 2 matches. 2winner to continue
Step 6: 1 match deciding the winner of the tournament

In the men’s division of the tour, Carsten W. Hansen from Denmark is back in the lead with 565 points in front of Pontus Andersson from Sweden with 557 points and Dominic Barrett from England with 505 points.

The top of the women’s division of the tour is unchanged as follows: Jenny Wegner from Sweden is leading with 587 points in front of Cajsa Wegner with 453 points and Daphne Tan from Singapore with 450 points at the following positions.

Lars Nielsen, who took his first tour stop title ever, was also highest ranked in the men’s division for the first time. The same was Sanna Pasanen from Finland (position 10 in the tournament) in the women’s division of the tour.
